It’s Monday - ready for some stings? VOLCANO breaks all conventional radio broadcasting formats. What other radio station would transition from afro RnB to pop-punk, experimental, and urban hip-hop? Yeh well VOLCANO does, here are just four of the new sounds in our studio this week!
SOULFOOD @soulfoodmusic_ have woken from their slumber! It’s been two years since their last release, but the wait was worth it! Their new single “Straight To The Point” is trademark SOULFOOD - energy, emotional, exciting - yep, we love it so much that it’s spinning a minimum of 4 times a day on VOLCANO this week, so you are guaranteed to catch it! Don’t miss the music video (it’s a tiny soap opera!) and make sure you catch them in Denpasar on 27th July, the first day of @pica_fest.
Sometimes just out of the blue, we get a “follow” from an old band that was around before VOLCANO was a thing! ASTROBOYS @astroboys_bali have just opened an Instagram account! Up, Up, and Away! WTF, they even played a gig last week. We have never played them on VOLCANO, but that’s all changing from today, listen up - “Kembali” is spinning all this week as if it was a fresh flight!
What are you doing on Sunday? Yeh well if ya cool like us you are going to be at the ROLLFAST @rollfast___ Gangsar Live Discography Reinterpretation in Canggu. To be honest, we are not sure exactly what will happen, but of course, it will be the ultimate in cool. Expect live reworks of their albums and singles. To prime us for the night, this week we have dragged into the VOLCANO studio “Garatuba”, “Grand Theft Atma”, “Electric Illuminators”, “Baby 69”, “Multiple Desert”, “The Death Stare” and our fave of all time the Prontaxan Remix of “Pajeromon”.
