INAMORATA @inamorata.music is the solo project from Jakarta INDONESIA’s @manusiaganjil who sent KOMODO a whole bajay load of his bluesy-poppy sounds. Landing in our mailbox from Surabaya INDONESIA is "Live in My Head" the debut maxi-single by post-punk/synthpop newcomers MMMARKOS! @mmmarkosbaby. Angelina (vocals), Fadhullah (guitar) and Ivan (bass) have emerged out of Surabaya’s university scene as daydreamers, reflecting on the cliches of life and the weather! We have so much love for the trio – from today both “Midnight Thought” and “Pleasure” have jumped into high rotation on KOMODO!
It’s spring in JAPAN! Siyu @siyu_nekojarashi and Kyrieley are back in the KOMODO studio with their Nekojarashi @nekojarashi_official project. There is love in the air, marriage season; perhaps someone you have a secret crush on is heading to the altar. Alas - feel the warmth of the spring sun, not just the sadness. Their latest 春巡り “Tada Taida” (Spring Tour) has hit our turntables this week - and hey, also catch the Polaroid photo lyric video - it makes us want to jump on a plane to their neighbourhood and wander.
Self-proclaimed “Most Underrated Band in THAILAND”, ELECTRA COMPLEX @electracomplex.official have dropped over more sounds. This time, their long-awaited album, “ECX”. It’s 9 tracks of infectious Punk/Pop/Emo/Shoegaze inspired by videogames, high school life, teen movies, J-Pop and K-Pop - in other words, it’s fully epic. They have pitched to us 31 reasons why should play them on KOMODO, so how can we ignore them, let’s work through the album over the next few months, first up, this week we kick it all off with the track “Pilot”.
