SINGAPOREAN band THY HOWLER @thyhowler have posted “The Story of Theophallus”, their full 45-minute set at ROSES 2023 up on YouTube. The KOMODO team frequently photo-bombs from the mosh - in fact, we are seen in about half of the 46-minute video! The guys kill it, and we are spinning heaps of their music on KOMODO. Making music doesn't always go smoothly, especially in an all-female band like Drizzly @_.drizzly. Through various twists and turns, from internal conflicts to personnel changes, these SIDOARJO dreamers have emerged in “Fairyland”! We LOVE the whole EP - so we are spinning every track, our pick to spin on high rotation this week is “Grasp All Loose All”.
KOMODO started playing some reggae dub that arrived to us from SURABAYA a few weeks ago and the messages have been flowin in fast to the studio! Yep, the sounds are wonderful - the work of Arsyad, Galop and Iddo. They call themselves MOTE SOUNDSYSTEM @motesoundsystem. Spinning this week is “Straight Inna Backyard” and “Sailing de Streets”.
DAISEA @daisea___ sent us a package of bio information, audio, and images but with a heavy JAKARTA-like “STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL” scary warning that includes “All the content is confidential and proprietary to Daisea. This material shall not be used, reproduced, copied, disclosed, transmitted, transformed, commercialized or communicated, in whole or in part, neither to third parties nor to the public, without the express and written consent of Daisea”. OK, dudes, chill. Well, we are gonna spin you anyway, go ahead - we dare you to sue us.
