OK - As soon as you have finished reading this race over to YouTube and catch the just dropped STONE COLD KILLERS @stonecoldkillers.official video for “The Pressure”. Lifted from their debut EP “Blue” it blends elements of progressive rock, funk, and jazz into an electrifying genre-defying journey. While these guys are based in Bali, they are a combo of talents from near and far; American drummer/producer Deane Ogden (Stevie Wonder, David Foster, Seal, Britney Spears), Javanese session guitarist Faizar Fasya (Afgan, Vidi Aldiano), former Brewok bassist Ilham Suhada, star of The Voice Indonesia Ava Prabawa, and Sumatran saxophone wunderkind Caam comprise the crew. VOLCANO & our pan-Asian sister station KOMODO @radiokomodo are all over the EP. Listen up for “The Pressure” and “Monster”, both have entered high-rotation from today!
There is this guy we occasionally run into and every time he never fails to impress! Everything JEYRA @jeyramusic contributes to we can’t wait to spin - Think DRØMME @drommemusic, MONOLOG @monologmusic_, CIRCLES @circlesmusic and there are no doubt even other electro collaborations we don’t even know about! Of course, JEYRA is also a visual genius and even hosts over on OZ RADIO BALI @d_ozradiobali. He is a fucking workaholic - and somehow has even found time to just release his solo EP. We are working our way through all 5 tracks over the next few months - this week VOLCANO is spinning the title track “Gemini”.
